Cup of Christmas Cheer Anyone?

If my cup of cheer includes Prosecco inside then I am all for it! haha! Seriously though, the Cup of Christmas stamp set will be a keeper for me. It is part of a new line of stamps called Reversibles. Simply put, these stamps made from Photopolymer are allowed to be stamped on either side allowing you to stamp the cup either way. It is also part of a bundle that includes dies for six of the images in the set. I love the bright cheery colors of this card too (Coastal Cabanna, Granny Apple Green and Real Red). And adding in the Glitter Enamel Dots just makes it that much more fun! I hope you enjoy it too!

Holly Jolly Christmas!

Excited to share my third card with you all today! I love the traditional images found in the Holly Jolly Christmas stamp set. You can find it in the Holiday Catalogue on page 26. It is part of bundle that includes the Jolly Season dies and is the centrepiece of the Night Before Christmas suite! I coloured this jolly Santa in with the Stampin’ Blends and then used the puff paint on the furry part of his suit! It looks even better in person! The card base is Seaside Spray which adds just the right amount of vintage to the card when paired with DSP from the Woven Threads paper.

A County Christmas

This card #2 has a country feel to me for some reason! It makes me think of my In Laws for some reason! I have always loved stars so the Stitched Stars bundle was at the top of my pre-order list back in August. One of the great demonstrator perks is being able to pre-order product before customers can. It allows me to order my favourites and play around. I paired these dies with the Subtles embossing folder from the Annual Catalogue (a must have in my opinion) with the sprig from the Christmas Layers dies. I feel like these dies are overlooked in the holiday catty. They are part of the Itty Bitty Christmas bundle on page 16. Make sure to give them a second look. The phrase I borrowed from the Still Scenes stamp set on pg 43. And the Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets just add the perfect touch. I love everything about this card!

Say What? A Christmas Card a Day in November?

That is right friends! I am going to post a Christmas card a day for the entire month of November to get you into the ultimate Christmas spirit while fueling your crafty side! This is also an awesome challenge for myself as I tend to buy (don’t tell my hubby) a good portion of the holiday sets in the catalogue. Sadly, I end up finding it hard to even break them all out to stamp! So this is a treat fo me too! Please comment on your favourite cards! It will help me decide which ones would be great for classes!

My card #1 features the Yummy Christmas stamp set (150501) which is a steal of a deal at only $20! It coordinates with the Cuckoo Clock Dies from the Annual Catalogue (pg 192). I made a dozen of these for a swap and I have to say I enjoyed casing it from the catalogue! I loved colouring the gingerbread houses as I do find colouring with the Blends quite relaxing. I used the Soft Suede blends for the house and then the Bronze blend for the gingerbread man. And I LOVE the Toile Tidings Glitter Enamel dots! They just add that little extra to a project!

See you tomorrow for another Christmas card idea!

Pretty Packaging! Who cares what is inside?

As my kids and nieces and nephews have gotten older I have found that I need some creative ideas for gift card packaging! Sometimes our easiest inspiration can come from the holiday cards we create! I used this card (which is a design we are making at my Christmas Card Class Friday night) to decorate this gold foil pizza box. Inside I can tuck a gift card and a couple of treats. It is always more fun to give things in pretty packaging!

This card features my favourite set of the moment the Word Wishes (149629) dies to create the sparkly Merry Christmas along with the ‘sprig’ element from the Christmas Layers Dies (150654). Carrying both of these elements and color pallet over allowed the card and pizza box to look like a team. I am so happy with the end result!
