Feeling Tropical!

Well I doubt my Christmas wishes of being somewhere tropical for the holidays will happen, I can enjoy creating some tropical themed cards right? It is almost the next best thing! haha!

I created this card on a Grey Granite base and I used the new Tropical Oasis suite from the upcoming Handmade for You Mini Catalogue coming out in January. The rectangular panel is embossed with the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder. I added in strips of the Tropical Oasis DSP for a bit of interest after stamping the background with an image from the Timeless Tropical stamp set. The main flower is coloured with the Stampin’ Blends in Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pie. There is a coordinating frame lit set, In the Tropics Dies, that I used to add in the two leaves. And I am totally loving the Braided Burlap Trim ribbon as well that I added under the embossed panel. I love this suite! I think it has so much potential and has an awesome color palette to work with too!

30 Days of Christmas Cards!

From My House to Yours, thank you for following along on this endeavour with me! It was no easy feat to create and share 30 different Christmas cards this month! I am proud of everything I created and I hope I show cased a variety of projects and styles that sparked some creativity in you! This final card was created using the top three selling colors in the past Stampin’ Up! year; Balmy Blue, Night of Navy and Crumb Cake. I challenged one of my card groups to create swaps featuring these colors. This is what I came up with to share. It uses the From our House to Yours (pg 57) stamp set and because I am running out of everything I had to make them with 3 different types of ribbon! But they all work and sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do! Thank you to everyone who took time to comment on one of my projects! I truly appreciate it!

Next month I will be sharing projects I created with an upcoming new suite of products , The Parisian Blossom Suite, coming in January! Please continue to follow along!

Christmas Medley

My card for Nov 29th (Happy Black Friday) was created using the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley. Everything except the Read Red card base, Whisper White stitched circle and the Pear Pizzaz stitched shape is included in this Medley. I stamped, added different DSP and stickers, along with the tinsel trim and a bit of embossing! I am happy with how this card turned out and will be using it as a project at a future group meeting! The Medley has a bunch of awesome product and is a great value considering a stamp set and die set are also included. You can find it on page 39 of the Holiday Catalogue.

Christmas House

Fun Fact: I took this photo at 5:20 pm. It was dark outside. Yes, already dark! So that will explain the ‘yellowish’ hue of this photo as there was no natural daylight! Hahaha! So today’s card (#28!) features the From Our House to Yours stamp set found way way at the back of the Holiday Catalogue (pg 57). The color pallet is Read Red, Crumb Cake and Pretty Peacock. I used the Winter Knit embossing folder for the background, along with Real Red Rhinestones and the Holiday Rhinestones (I can’t even tell you how many packages of these I have used!). It is actually a pretty simple card which is unusual for me! However, sometimes #simplestamping works!

Little Bits!

Day #27, I can’t believe a) how fast the month of November has been going by and b) that I have actually managed to create 27 different holiday cards so far. I believe this is actually a Christmas Miracle! Hahaha!

So this card came together based on little bits of paper I had laying around. We ALL have these! I used the Beautiful Bouquet dies, Season Wreath and Cup of Christmas dies to create the ‘wreath’ elements. The gold glitter wreath is cut with two stitched circles. The sentiment is from the Yummy Christmas stamp set and a few gold sequins completes the card! Isn’t that amazing! The wood grain embossing folder is the perfect background as I was picturing what a wreath would be hanging on. I hope you are inspired to create something amazing with your little bits!
